I often find it very difficult to find time throughout the week. Sometimes it gets to the point where I debate if it’s worth the stress to cook, and I find myself tempted to just eat out or get delivery. With how busy the work week can get, it’s incredibly nice to have a quick, simple, and reliable meal right at home. You shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not the dish will turn out tasty. Our go-to dinner?

Air fryer teriyaki salmon!

Why We Rely on Simple Ingredients

My family loves having salmon pretty much every week for dinner. It’s naturally become a staple in our meal rotation because it’s healthy, fast, and can be cooked in so many different ways. If you find yourself with a large amount of salmon in your fridge or freezer, finding a new way to prepare that same protein can be a struggle at times.

This is exactly where our Bungoyaki Original Teriyaki Sauce comes in. Our grandparents started serving this exact recipe at Bungo Restaurant back in 1965. Today, our family still follows their recipe, using the same six simple ingredients: soy sauce, cane sugar, high-quality sake, high-quality mirin, fresh garlic, and fresh ginger. There's no high-fructose corn syrup or chemical additives in our bottles.

Like our ingredients, using our sauce is simple and easy. No need to marinade your salmon in advance; just drizzle, dip, and glaze our teriyaki sauce over your fully cooked salmon and that's it!

Easy 15 Minute Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Serving Size: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 Salmon fillets (with skin recommended, but not required)
  • Bungoyaki Teriyaki Sauce
  • Oil (any type will work, we use avocado oil)
  • Optional: furikake and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Air Fryer: Line the air fryer basket with foil (for easy clean-up) and lightly grease with oil.

2. Prepare Salmon: Gently pat dry the fillets with a paper towel, then place them in the air fryer, skin side down (if applicable).

3. Air Fry the Salmon: Air fry the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for approximately 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Note: You can also use an oven for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), line a baking tray with foil, lightly grease the foil with oil, and cook for about 15 minutes

4. Serve: Once cooked, drizzle Bungoyaki Teriyaki Sauce over the salmon fillets. Garnish with furikake and chopped green onions if desired.

Note: Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the salmon fillets. Adjust accordingly to ensure the salmon is cooked through.
